Pictured is our Charlestown Breachway Jetty and Beach Restoration Project. Starting as a jetty, and dune repair due to the previous years erosion it quickly became more dynamic as it turned into an emergency repair expediting the process working with many local agencies including CRMC, RIDEM, Army Corps of Engineers, URI Ocean Engineering Department and the Town of Charlestown to remedy the extreme conditions that were quickly destroying one of Rhode Island's few undeveloped beaches. Via efficient work with the aforementioned agencies and despite challenging access along the 3 mile beach, RMA and the Town of Charlestown remedied the safety condition and performed a pilot repair of 150 feet of the jetty. Full repair of the jetty is currently under design.
